Emergency Alerts

Emergency Alerts are in-the-moment banners that display on the Hearo Remote Supports Dashboard whenever there is an event at a Location that has been categorized as an Emergency. This typically includes:

  • E-button presses.

  • Smoke or CO (carbon monoxide) Alarm detection via Alarm Detector.

  • Breaching of parameters set up in a Location's Advanced Rules, e.g. the opening of a bedroom window between the hours of X and Y

Emergency alerts can extend to text messaging via conventional delivery, and Push Notifications when utilizing the Hearo Mobile application.

For instance, when Alarm Detector A goes off at Location B, Mom, Dad, and Uncle Clark can receive a text notifying them with whatever message is necessary.

Calling

Either through the main Activity page, or through any Location's Details Page, you are able to make a direct call. Depending on what is being used by an Individual, the call will be transmitted to both their tablet and/or Hearo Mobile application.

To initiate a call from the Location Details page, simply click the phone icon next to the Individual's name; or, on the main Activity Page of the Dashboard, click the phone icon next to the Individual's icon in the upper right-hand corner of the box. Pictured below.

During calling, an Individual's tablet will not automatically engage their camera, so as to offer as much privacy from the get-go as possible. If an Individual would like to enable their forward-facing camera, they can simply press the button named "Video" directly to the left of the center "Hang Up" button. This will enable the Remote Supports Professional (or Natural Supports/family member) to see the individual via video.

Tablet Snapshot

A handy tool available both through the main Activity Page and the Location Details Page is the Tablet Snapshot. This is a way to get an up-to-date, in-the-moment capture of what is currently happening/being displayed on an Individual's tablet.

For instance, if the tablet screen is currently off/in "Sleep Mode" at a Location, it will reflect as such on the Tablet Snapshot and will present as a black screen. Or, if there are Reminders waiting on the screen to be cleared. This can be helpful if there is concern of certain Reminders, say, for medications, being ignored or failing to be confirmed.

Also, if sending a live and one-off Notification to a Location or an Individual's tablet, this feature can be helpful to ensure that it has successfully landed at its destination. If the Notification has gotten to its intended tablet, it will be present on the screen and will reflect in the Tablet Snapshot.

Notes

Notes are available to add to any given log/any given individual event in the Activity Logs, located either on the main Activity Page or the Location Details Page of the Hearo Remote Supports Dashboard.

Then there is the Support Note, available to you on both the main Activity Page or, again, on the Location Details page. Here, you can keep a running list of pertinent information; it's designed to assist communication between Remote Supports staff and whomever else may have User Access to the Location.

Feelings

Feeling entries are updated via an Individual's tablet. They currently included entries for: "Okay, Happy, Very Happy, Sad, Very Sad, Lonely, Frustrated, Scared, Lucky, Giggly, Angry, Sick, Very Sick, Sleepy, Cool, Loving, Fun, Sweet, Silly, Worried, Mischievous, Excited".

These feelings updates can be an important way for the Individual to communicate their current state, and, furthermore, can function as triggers, notifying Remote Supports or family members in unique ways such as text message, voice-call-delivered message, Push Notification, or Dashboard Log for future reference in a data report.

Example: If, for instance, we know that when Individual Clark updates his feelings entry to "Sick" or "Worried", we must check in as soon as we are able because he is in an unconventional or dire state of some sort. We'd like to be notified via text message to our cell phones, in order to have visibility after the fact in case we miss it, and enjoy the time stamp.

Activity Logs

Activity Logs are quite straightforward: they are the Location's sensor data, offered in an up-to-date fashion and time-stamped, that collectively can help tell a story of what may be happening, or what may have occurred, at a given Location.

There may be logs of Emergency events, of remote viewings of Doorbell Cameras (these will ALWAYS require a reason as to request for access, will be time-stamped and associated with User account), of specific Rule executions including Dashboard Logs (great for retrieval down the road), of bed occupancy, motion activity, still-image capture of a Location's Video Doorbell being pressed for later reference, etc. Basically anything and everything that is meant to act in a certain way, or to capture certain data, will be listed here.

These are accessible/viewable on the Main Activity Page as well as any Location's Details Page.
